Last night of the holiday

A big day

Aerten is coming up with new tricks every day. Within half an hour during lunch he has realised that he can stand up without holding on and has also taken his first step! What a big day in the life of our little family! As the ever proud parents we then spend the next half hour trying to get him to repeat the trick - but these big life changing steps cannot be forced so instead we'll watch him patiently (read closely) over the next few days!

Thailand

We've found the perfect happy place to spend hours and days on end - a little beach on an island off the south western coast of Thailand. All you need with little ones like Aerten is a beach and a bucket - as we realised after buying him a 'fancy' plastic truck, good old buckets are just more fun!

Fun and games

So we're off to Thailand for a long awaited family holiday - or so far we are just waiting at Cape Town airport as there seems to be some technical problem with our plane. Aerten has discovered the hours of fun that sugar sticks and their holder provide - at least someone is enjoying them selves!
